Are Qtents tents wind-resistant?
Our sturdy waterproof tents can withstand some quite high winds. The product sheet contains the specific forces that the stretch tent can withstand. Our stretch tents can stand up to at least force 8 on the Beaufort scale. However, the way the tent is erected also has a huge impact on its wind resistance. The standard construction can be extended with storm guys, anchor plates, anchor screws, centre-mast bases, edge mast-bases and special ratchets for the guys. All these appurtenances improve the sturdiness of your stretch tent, and consequently its wind resistance. You can also close off all sides of the tent with walls, so you can sit out of the wind while you are under the canopy. Placing walls in the tent will keep driving rain from blowing under the tent too.

Where does the name sailcloth come from?
Sailcloth is the term for the fabric used to make the tent. The tent is made from the same fabric as the fabric used for sails on sailing boats. That’s why it’s called sailcloth. Qtents uses the name sailcloth tents. The same model of tent is sold by other companies under the names ivory tent, silhouette tent and tidewater tent. The shapes of these tents are very similar: the main difference is the use of materials.
Tents sold by Qtents are available with custom-printing. Our tents can be printed with your logo, or in full colour. If you want us to print a logo on your party tent, we will arrange it at our factory in Waalwijk, the Netherlands. If you want to custom-print your entire tent, we will arrange to have it done at an external facility. The printed tent can be shipped on request, or you can pick it up from our site in Waalwijk. Printed tents are customised, depending on what you want.
Custom-print your party tent on the inside or outside
We can custom-print the inside and the outside of your party tent. Most tents are printed on the inside, so the tent features your company logo or figurative trademark. If you want, however, you can have your party tent printed all over, both inside and out. Please remember that the outside printing will be subject to all weather conditions. The effects of the weather will have a huge impact on the quality of the printing. Alternatively, you can opt to custom-print your party tent on the inside. The printing on the inside usually remains intact longer and better. And of course your guests will mainly be inside the tent, so they will see more of the inside than the outside, which is why it might be better to custom-print the interior of your party tent.
